Surprise FD K-2 active

Surprise FD medics at the stadium for spring training games are using their K-2 talkgroup, 1651. (K-3 is TG 1650.) I'm hearing them on the White Tanks IR.

I would check the other K-2 and K-3 TG's at the other stadiums for activity as well.

(460.3500 with a CTCSS of 203.5 is used at the Peoria stadium for parking, maintenance, etc. I think there are other frequencies, but I don't know what they are yet.)

Interesting, didn't realize each Dept had separate K2 & K3 channels, thought they were all on the same. Are there other talk groups specific to each Dept?

Each department has their own set of K-2, K-3, K-4, and K-5 talkgroups.

Not all of them are currently in use, but I think it's a good idea to have them programmed in so that when they do become active, they can be added to the database.

Note that they start with K-5 and go down as the talkgroups go up. (Inverse ratio.)

Tonopah and Harquahala are more recent additions to the PFDRDC, so they may not have had a set assigned to them when I got the original list from a third party.

There should also be an old thread, or three, from several years back with the list, if you'd like to look for them.

Wow John that's quite a list, I never realized there were separate K deck channels for each Dept. I will definitely have to add them into my 436 (when I get it). Appreciate the info, thanks!

Phoenix K-2 (1753) is being used to communicate with Alarm.

I'll definitely have to add them. Is it reue that all of the K4 and K5 channels are encrypted, though? If so, I probably won't program those, if they're just taking up space.
