I decided to start this as a new topic, since the other one was getting a little long...I glanced over the RR database and came up with the following entries that are not on the Fireboards page; as always, we need PL/DCS information , too...
================
453.5000 Blades [confirmed - what is the PL/DCS if it has one?]
453.3500 Delmar [what is the difference between this and 154.415?]
453.8500 d351 Georgetown
453.8750 Gumboro
453.5500 Laurel
460.5500 Lewes
453.6000 Millsboro
453.4750 Slaughter Beach Fire [Is this town/city correct?]
460.5750 d023 Bethany Beach fire ops (TRS Simulcast)
================

Mike, I will try to get a PL tone for Blades on 453.500. I forgot about that one. I believe 154.415 was cutoff for Delmar. I need to check that for you. It used to be used as a simulcast for the old low band channels of Wicomico and Sussex and "I think" it was disabled once Wicomico went to 800 mhz. I will find out for you though. Not sure about 453.350. I can't confirm the other channels listed in your post. I am too far away to pick them up. Most of them are low power and are intended to only cover the area of that fire station.

I got a note earlier that 453.5 is not just in Blades, but is on several towers in the state. What does it do? Is it a repeater for one or more talkgroups?

73s and thanx Mike

I have only picked this up when I am near Seaford. It is only used as a simulcast of the main fire/ems channels for Sussex. I believe it only transmits from Blades even though it is licensed for several other sites.

Hmm, not according to the FCC ULS listings. It shows only the Blades xmtr, as well as a lo power (handheld?) license for a VFD in Kent County. Interesting....73s Mike

You are right about 453.500 being low powered. I was in Seaford on Sunday and I could barely receive it and I was only 2 miles from Station 71 Blades. I did get a PL tone of 88.1 for that frequency though.

Very good Brian. The FCC lists it as 65 watts, so yeah, there ain't much smoke on this transmitter...73s and thanx...Mike
