So my father in law wants to get back into listening to the Sussex County FD, but not worry about a scanner of any type. He just wants to carry a minitor pager instead and hear the calls go out, not necessarily all the fireground or administrative traffic. Mostly puttering about the Greenwood area, would he be better served listening to 154.205 or 453.700? Of course I fully expect him to get addicted and require a scanner later, I got that covered already.

Thanks!

453.700 For dispatching. 453.225 for fireground and other radio traffic.

OK, thanks. I'll probably get him a 2 channel UHF pager then. So is the 154.205 useful for anything?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8530/5.0.0.973 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

154.205 is good for the blades seaford area I have good luck with 453.125 in the Bridgeville Greenwood area
