Switching SERIAL to MASS without shut off the scanner?

Is there a trick to switch or change between SERIAL MODE and MASS STORAGE MODE without shutting off the BCD536HP and then turn on again?

I mean using software commands or next updating firmware?

Is there a mode to select when you record only one or some TGID, or system, or department. I see that I can rec all or nothing.

And then is possible that BCD536 merge one record file in each TGID, SYSTEM or Department with each TGID instead of 200 little wav files that I have to join with audio editor before listening properly together?

I think the answer to your 1st question is no.

Same for second question but I can recommend an app called media monkey, which is a free download, and handles x36 recorded wav files great. When you play them it has the time, date, system, Dept and channel description while playing the files straight through. You just point it to a folder full of files and it replays just like as if the files were being replayed by the scanner.

If you want, you can record that played output into a single mp3 etc.
