I finally found a scanner that works for me, and is capable of listening to P25 Phase 2 systems. I also recently downloaded the Freescan and got a Premium Membership to make programming easy. I even figured out the buttons I need to push to switch systems if I choose. I just one little setback keeping me from creating the scanner lineup that I want. I started getting my toes wet by programming a P25 system and a conventional system into the scanner with 7 NOAA Weather Radio frequencies. The annoying thing for me is that when trying to use the P25 system, it won't stay on the P25 system, and switch over to the conventional system when there's nothing going on at the moment on the P25 system, which is really annoying. Any fixes to this?

You probably didn't either assign quick keys to the systems or lock out the one you don't want to hear.
On that scanner, a trunk system Quick Keys are assigned for each Site (frequencies at one location) as well as each Group (separate bunches of Talkgroups)
The conventional Quick Key is assigned to the System (bunch of frequencies)

You need to assign quick keys to the systems. Here is a PDF file that will answer all of your questions about using quick keys:

I did that, and I think it worked. Thanks!

Did you download the PDF file in post #3? It will give you complete instructions about how to use quick keys.
