Switching To PC Power Problem ?

Hello,

Have a new BCD 436.

Unit works fine when on battery power alone.

But, if I then connect a the USB cable to my PC, I get the opening
screen where, I guess, I select Mass Storage, and then the E yes button.

Then, everything seems "locked up"
"USB Mass Storage" appears on screen

Function, Menu, Scroll Knob, or anything else doesn't seem to work.

What, as usual, am I missing or doing incorrectly, please ?

When you just want to power the radio, select "serial port" option. Mass storage is only for reading and writing to the radio, like updating the database. Serial port should ask if you want to charge the batteries or not.
