I have been hearing KCF-415 for some time now on 33.540? and need a confirmation on that and is KCF415 officially rebroadcast on another frequency other than 154.430?. I am 800 miles south in NC and do not have 154.430 programed.

KCF415 is the PRIMARY Call-Sign, however you will find attached [above]
all the license info for SWNH where 33.54 is a valid frequency [just a different call-sign]

"KCF415" was never on 33.54. The callsign would be inconjunction with their other callsigns when doing "the prayers" at 9AM and 9PM. KCF415 is the callsign for 154.4300.

The callsign for 33.54 is/was KCE579. This was also the callsign for their 33.78 frequency.

Originially, SWFMA dispatched on 33.78 (KCE579) and 154.430 (KCF415). They utilized 33.54 to communicate with Tri-State Mutual Aid (Franklin County, Mass area). Since then, they've expanded the VHF High-Band and have all but eliminated use of Low-Band (Franklin County is now on UHF). They are now
KCF415 - 154.430 Primary Dispatch/Ops
KCE579 - 33.78 / 33.54 (old dispatch & tri-State)
KIU830 - 154.385 Primary Fireground "Tac-1"
KEF980 - 154.145 Primary "Tri-Mountain" Dispatch
KTG523 - 155.220 Cheshire County EMS Ops (Disp on KCF415)
KDX768 - 155.265 Deerfield Valley Ambulance Ops (Disp on KCF415)
WQCV921 - 159.450 Keene Fire Dispatch

you can also monitor them live at Fire Mutual Aid

Bill, John, thanks for the replies. I did look over it again and found WPQJ815 33.540 for Keene NH. Would that be the frequency I am hearing the lady in my recording calling out KCF415 on? The recording is from June 16th.

That is definitely Southwestern NH Mutual Aid; except that dispatch for Engine-3 near the end. I can only assume she had the all-channel mutli-select on. Has this been happening a lot; or just that one time?

I apologize that I didn't quite understand initially what you were asking. The units she was dispatching operate on 154.430 (KCF415). I'm not sure she knew she was on 33.54 because she didn't also say "KCE579". Southwestern dispatch is identified by their callsign on that channel. That helps differentiate which channel the unit is on.

No problem John. I just wanted to locate the correct callsign for 33.540 so I could log it as to receiving SWNH District Fire. I have been hearing it when conditions are right.

This evening I heard KCF415 on 33.780 at 19:58 and 20:00. So to answer your question John, It seems to be quite regular this happens.

I am working there this coming Sunday. I'm also going to check w/the Radio shop guys this week. I'll see what I can dig up for ya. Of course maybe I don't want to say anything in case it's accidental.

I'm wondering if they're using the low-band frequencies as uplinks from dispatch to some of the 154.430 sites.

I think that when you talk to Lenny, Dale or Charley, you will find that the links are on UHF to get to the more remote site locations. There is some microwave with some of the sites. With the conversion slowly going to digital, many changes are taking place. Who knows what each of the dispatchers have been doing when things get hectic. That has been more the norm with all the bad weather going through there this year.

That's how it all should be working. We use 33.78 with a timed repeater on 154.430 to tone Readsboro, Vt. But that's all I knew of. In theory, other than that, you shouldn't hear Southwest on any Low-Band frequencies anymore except during the 0900/2100 prayers.

I hate to go back into such an old thread with a non-scanner question, but does anyone have the P/L codes for the SWNH TAC channels and are they narrow banded yet?

As listed in the post by John

136.5 for EMS
77.0 for Fire as Tac-7

After re-reading his post, I think he's looking for the PL for the new medical frequency, 155.715 MHz, that is replacing the old KTG-523 (155.220 MHz, 136.5 Hz PL).
