Traffic on all but 496 & 9008, TG-41488 has been the busiest with Fire\EMS type tfc. I just have not had
time to park on it. The SFD logged Radio ID's match ID's showing up on SFD dispatch, all TG's have multiple hits over 2 weeks.

New SWRCN TG activity:

Received between 1437-1518 ET on 2010-10-12 on unidentified SWRCN TG 8240.

"Hey Dave how do you copy on TAC 5?"

"Middleburg Engine 2522 to Berea Engine 1" "Engine 1 Go ahead" "We're pulled up
to your location here do you want us to drop our 3 inch supply" "Yeah we're on
scene..." More conversation regarding pressure readings, etc....

It would appear to be either Middleburg Heights FD TAC 5 or Berea FD TAC 5, or
possibly a jointly used TAC channel. From looking at the other FD TAC numbers
it looks like at least half of the fire departments on the SWRCN using a common
TAC number scheme. TAC 5 has not be identified as yet.

We received a submission indicatting 49872 as Middleburg FD Secondary. However, alread in the DB is MiddleBurg FD Dispatch at 41872 (similar TG) and there are no other [documented] talkgroups in the 49000 range in use.

I have to wonder if either the submission for 49872 was in error [and the submitter was actually hearing traffic on 41872], or if 41872 as listed in the DB is incorrrect and Midddleburg Heights FD Dispatch is actually on 49872.

The submitter indicated that units were ttalking to dispatch on 49872.

Would appreciate if you guys who can monitor Middleburg Heights 41872 and 49872 would give a listen and let us know if the current entry in the DB is incorrect and/or if there is actually traffic happening on 49872.

Thanks

Mike

All the hits I have had on my PSR500 for Middleburg Hts FD Dispatch have been on 41872. I have not had any hits on a 49872 using Wildcarding.

Win500's Monitor/Control feature added 'TG 49872' in the filename on both hits. Same unit called MIDCOMM both times and identified self as #2522 and also referenced unit #2511 in the second transmission. Hits were at 1454 and 1522 hours respectively on 10/19/2010. First transmission referenced being 'on scene' and the second for 'clearing the scene'.

Will continue to monitor and advise if further traffic clarifies the purpose of the TG.

I thought that 496 was the Parma Heights Courtesy Shuttle or the Senior Shuttle?
Is that what you heard, something like a shuttle bus?
Thanks for the updates.

I think Parma Heights moved off SWRCN onto the Parma Project 25 system?

Also, I am wondering if Seven Hills is going to move from their VHF conventional systems to one of the area trunked systems. I heard the same Radio techs performing the same tests in the same time range on MARCS, SWRCN and Parma P25. The MARCS test was definately for Seven Hills FD as the tech requested a MARCS Countywide Tac channel for "training" from CECOMMS on Countywide TAC 1.

And anyone know if North Royalton PD is moving to SWRCN? A press release from the mayor states back in August the city is getting $430K in grants for new radios that will allow them to be compliant (for the new narrow band rules I assume).

Parma Heights PD moved to Parma Project P25 earlier this year. Parma Heights Fire and other services have remained on SWRCN.

Haven't heard anything regarding Seven Hills or North Royalton's intentions. This spring Parma received a Federal grant to provide P25 radio's to both Brooklyn Heights and Seven Hills Fire & EMS for Mutual Aid use with Parma.
