Yesterday I decoded System 340, Site 18 on 462.350Mhz on DSD+, in Indiana. Site 18 is not listed for System 340 in Virginia in the RRDB. I'm curious if someone around VA/NC could listen on that frequency and see if that site is legit. Thanks.

Can you post a screenshot? Or perhaps provide more information on the type of system (P25, DMR Cap+, DMR Con+, NXDN, etc)? Are you sure it is the same system? There could potentially be another system 340 out there that just isn't documented in the DB yet. Are any site neighbor listed?

I understand all of that, and I'll have to see if I can find it in the log later. In the meantime, it wouldn't take but a couple seconds for someone in VA/NC to check that frequency. The current 340 is a communications business covering parts of VA and NC, and could potentially have 18+ sites, eventhough only 3 sites are documented.

Hah, I didn't realize who I was talking to or I wouldn't have asked some of those questions. I thought you were a new person reporting some tropo finding.

I agree it probably is the system you are thinking it is -- I looked through the FRN that holds the licenses for the other sites, and that FRN doesn't have that particular frequency licensed. Of course, as we know, a lot of those systems out there are run by a consortium who get together to create a wide area network.

What is the business name could not find it here in Va beach

If it is this "340" system, here it is in the DB -- called NexWan

The FRN for the existing licenses for sites currently in the DB shows the company as:

GCSEAC, INC.
GCS Electronics and Communications

GCS Facebook: GCS Electronics & Communications

But this company could also be collatorating with one or more other companies to combine resources for a wide area system. And thus some sites/frequencies could potentially be licensed under other names.

Just curious, I looked at all the sites and all 3 FCC licenses to them. Why isn't the name and county listed? Not poking at anyone for not doing it or saying to update them now just curious.
