I am monitoring a 700 MHz P-25 Phase II system. In Sentinel under System Type I selected p25 X2 TDMA. I think that I should had selected P25 Trunk and I am unable to change the System Type to P25 Trunk. How do I change the System Type or do I have to delete and start again?

Thanks

Delete and start again. If using Sentinel and the system is in the RRDB, just append it to the favorite list.

This is a system you created from scratch & not one you imported from the RRDB? If the former then you'll need to delete & start again

Or if you have ProScan you can change it in the Favorites Editor I believe.

You are correct that X2 is not the same as P25 Phase II, and that you want P25.

As far as I know there are no X2 systems on the air anymore.

I would note that, for systems in my area (DFW), there are a number of P25 systems still listed in the database in Sentinel for the HP-1 & HP-2 scanners as P25 X2-TDMA. (I just spot checked a couple of counties near me. More than likely, there probably are more in other areas.)

These are correctly tagged as P25 in Sentinel for the SDS & x36HP scanners, but not for the HP-1 or HP-2. That cannot be corrected in Sentinel for those models.

Note that this is with the current (06/25/23) database.
