Systems sending OTA aliases

With the new P25 OTA alias lookup feature in DSDPlus v2.506*, this seems to be a good place to post which systems are actually sending the info.

Albany/Schenectady Counties 695 - YES
CDTA 8FA - NO
DHSES 26E - several days can pass between transmissions, unknown
Rensselaer County 86B - NO
Saratoga County 3CB - too weak at my location, unknown
Troy City 0E6 - NO

Why would the NY forum be a good place? DSDPLus is used all over. And no need to post. Clicking that will give you a list (in your DSDPlus directory) of all systems discovered to be all systems transmitting.

There's about 60 so far.

You probably meant 2.505 thread, as that's where the feature was released.

I thought the idea of the RRDB and Forums was to share information. Perhaps I should have said "systems in New York" but, realistically, why would anyone want to plow through a nationwide table for local info?

All I can say is be careful you don't get fulled. I once said the Ohio statewide system (MARCS) was not sending aliases. Well, they have like 200+ sites. The ones i can copy in Eastern Ohio aren't sending aliases. Three county simulcasts (at least) in the SW of Ohio ARE sending. All part of the same system. Depends upon who has what turned on, on particular sites, on particular radios, etc.

All I can say is be careful you don't get fulled. I once said the Ohio statewide system (MARCS) was not sending aliases. Well, they have like 200+ sites. The ones i can copy in Eastern Ohio aren't sending aliases. Three county simulcasts (at least) in the SW of Ohio ARE sending. All part of the same system. Depends upon who has what turned on, on particular sites, on particular radios, etc.

Or it’s like the system in my area. Only wireline consoles have an alias and it’s not even all of them. And the names are sometimes awesome, like “OP 1”.

Agreed. I did check all 4 cells of the Albany/Schenectady system and they are all sending. I have checked multiple sites on systems that have more than one. Rensco is simulcast.
