A 28-year-old Westminster woman was charged with a number of traffic violations in connection with a serious auto accident on Saturday in Adams County.

The State Patrol reported Amanda Blewett was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier eastbound on 120th Avenue at Trussville Street when she lost control and collided with a concrete barrier.

Her passengers, Heather Fowler, 31 of Westminster, was airlifted to Denver Health Medical Center, and Breauna Blewett, 6, of Westminster, was airlifted to Children's Hospital, both with serious injuries.

Blewett was transported to Aurora South Medical Center with serious injuries.

Investigators allege that drugs, alcohol and speed were all factors in the wreck.

When Blewett was released from the hospital yesterday, she was taken into custody and charged with two counts of vehicular assault-DUI/DUID, two counts vehicular-assault-reckless driving, and child abuse.

All of the charges are felonies.
