Hello everyone,
I am having a problem with T4WIN in where I leave T4WIN on an active EDACS control channel for a few hours, but when I return there are many new EDACS systems opened and there is little to no new data recorded for my target system. Also, it seams the affiliations are not logged. Any ideas? Thanks, IED

Hello IED;

EDACS systems on "Da Moon" ?

Seriously ... this is new to me. Normally the system pops open a window asking you to provide a small hint so it knows which system it is decoding.

Is the popup window getting buried behind some other program's window?

Which system are you monitoring? I may need to ask for a one or two minute recording for testing / troubleshooting.

Regards,
Rick

RFmobile,
thanks for the reply. I will try to put it into better words. I am trying to monitor a local EDACS system. I have a RS-2026 w/disc tap and am feding it into the soundcard. When I listen to this system (scanner manually parked on the control channel) I open T4WIN and then open the xml file that I have saved previously. When I start the decoding a box appears wanting me to choose what I am listening to. I have the options of EDACS96 or control channel freq. I am not sure what to enter in either of these boxes as any option I choose causes another edacs system to be added to the list and it starts decoding on that new system. If I leave it for a while I will have multiple windows pop up asking me to enter control channel freq or EDACS96. It seemd that while tuned to the same control channel decoding on the same system that it think it has discovered new systems. I have the newest (JAN 04) version and am running WIN 98SE on a 12.ghz puter. Thanks, IED

Rick,
I guess I was outhinking myself. After putting in the control channel freq, now the boxes do not repeatedly ( ie every few minutes) to bug me about cc freq or system. I think I worked through it. Thanks, IED.

Been doing it to me also on Edacs ever since the last release. I start T4Win program, open the xml file for the system that I already saved and then start the decoder running. It will still open the window and wants to know what system or frequency. If I give it the info it wants it will run for a while and darn window pops up again. Works great on Motorola SmartNet. I just quit monitoring edacs and waiting for the next release. :D

Rich is patiently waiting as well. But this may be a new one. This just started happening to me not too long ago. This week with the latest version, I have been getting some radio ID's showing up in blue. Since I cannot click on the screen to edit ID info in the activity screen, I have been going over to the Radio ID screen and searching for the paticular RID in there and then editing it. Well it seems these RID's in blue do not show up in the "radio ID (RID)" list at all. It only does this in the EDACS system, and not in the Motorola Astro II. LOL strange.

I think it's my load of windows actually. I searched throughout the forums, and no one else has had this problem. I'm reloading it as we speak, and I will let you know if it fixes these blue ID's.

OH YA, don't forget the "editing of RIDs and TGs on the fly when in the activity screen" problem, that's a pain in the butt prob for me.

Thanks Rick, Senss, and everyone else involved in making T4win a better program.

Regards,
Richster.
