Hi!

I got T4Win working after a small fight with the soundcard. T4Win successfully decodes now data from a Type II system, and almost instantly popped out a window to add a new control channel. After that, the database started to get filled with TG's, Radio's and LCN information.

The system control channel rotates every midnight, and after the control channel changed, data collecting ceased. I assumed a popup window would appear soon to announce a new control channel discovery, with a new LCN.
This never happened, and so monitoring of the system is now virtually stopped. Decoder works fine, I'm seeing good data on the window as before .

Any suggestions?

Does the radio follow the control channel or is it tuned to the former control channel?

Radio does not follow, as I'm using a conventional receiver which T4 can not control. I've manually tuned the radio to the new control channel, though.

Now the control channel has changed back to the same LCN as it was originally, and data collecting resumes.

Weird.

Erik,

I think he means does the scanner which had the original CC change to the new CC when the CC changes, or is T4Win showing activity on the old CC when the CC changes.

lakki;

Try this:

Program your conventional receiver to scan the three or four control channels. When the control channels drops off of one channel, the radio will start scanning. Usually, it will find the new control channel and stay there.

As for decoding, T4Win should be oblivious to the CC change over. It should have the same effect as a brief fade in signal while the radio finds the new channel. Once decoding resumes, it will update the database with the new control channel.
