I was one of the rescue members assisting with the rescue operation at Table Rock State Park on December 20th. Two hikers had fallen and one had to be carried out on a basket litter. For once, I had both my VHF and UHF HT radios to keep track of all operations. I had the Park Service's Caesar's Head repeater 453.875 mhz programmed in my UHF HT with the 065 DPL only to find that the "in the park" repeater (114.8 pl) is still used by the park personnel as their TAC channel. Since I can't hear it on my scanner at my residence near Easley, I presumed that the Caesar's Head unit was the only one active (I can hear it very will).
