Just want to say thanks for doing this and particularly for expanding it beyond Ontario - I've discovered a bunch of very interesting stuff in the Alberta portion of the TAFL based on these diff files.

("Diff" makes me think back to my FidoNet days - wonder if any of you were involved with that? :))

None of the changes listed for London Fire represent frequency changes (or new frequencies). Everything listed either belongs to one of the 4 EDACS sites, I-Call or I-Tac channels, or county channels. Emission type changes for the upcoming move to P25 perhaps?
Most of the licenses have fairly new frequency assignment dates (15-SEP-2011), but some are older (2001 and 2006). So they're not brand new, but for some reason they're no longer protected. Go figure. No doubt they'll disappear soon...

Most of the station licenses show 6K0F2D-N for EM2, while Station 14 has 5K0F2DXN; they're essentially identical codes other than the 5 kHz vs 6 kHz. I wonder if someone fat-fingered that one.

Great idea ... any way to keep a record of previous changes?
Sure - just download the file every month and keep a copy. Or were you looking for something else? The total changes from Jan/2011 to Dec/2011 might be interesting...

Do you have a copy of the last few months changes?
I was thinking on your site to add the last changes just name them by the month instead of just "differences"

Cool thanks, guess I clicked on a wrong link cause it wasn't working earlier. Gonna have to bookmark it I guess.

Nothing new for my area, but I did notice these that might be of interest to some.

462.500000 162.500000 TOWN OF COBOURG FIRE DEPT/FIN. DEPT CITY OF COBOURG (FIRE DEPT) ML CV 11K0F3EJN 1K0F2DFN 43.9772 78.1692 ADD 49 462.500000 462.500000 TOWN OF COBOURG FIRE DEPT/FIN. DEPT COBOURG, ON (FIRE DEPT) VR

It's available on the first workday of every month unless IC screws up.

April's report was uploaded yesterday.

Interesting if not a bit strange....462.500 crossed with 162.500. Not that it's impossible, looks more
like a typo (which do pop up in TAFL). "On the grid" frequencies would be 162.495 and 162.510.
162.500 is assigned a few places out west but it's also a WX transmitter frequency.

It says "VR" after the one license which implies to me a vehicle repeater. Both of these lines are frequency status 0 which means applied for and not yet granted, so there is no Virtual License (which traditionally shows more info such as "for use as a vehicle crossband repeater" etc).

Looks like North Bay is in the process of switching over to TRBO on several
VHF repeaters for fire, transit, parks/rec. etc. TAFL search shows new assignments
as status Pending (0).

Also note Metrolinx has what looks to be a couple of UHF P25 direct channels
458.0875 and 469.525 .

On top of that, 462.500 is known as a temporary/test/demo frequency, usually simplex
but sometimes paired (low-power repeater). If I were a FS, not sure I'd want to share with
other non-emergency users. It could be coupled to their existing VHF frequencies, or
the 800MHz system, though in the latter case the VR's (I have seen) tend to be in-band.

GE used to sell all their UHF radios with that frequency crystalled up.

The local towing company used it for quite a while until they went out of business.

Funny you should mention this. I came across an old GE 2-channel UHF radio
recently, and one frequency was...462.500.

Cellular and PCS licenses for each sector and some sectors are duplicated!

Is this IC's latest revenue generation scheme?

I had in May downloaded TAFL for the region within 200 km of my residence near Halifax, and then added in non-listed frequencies as a sort of master list for my area, but wondered from the start how to keep it up to date, and just today ran across this thread... This is a wonderful help to people like me for sure, so thanks a bunch....

I just downloaded the June changes, but can I get the May ones????????. Oh and yes I know I would be getting the whole Atlantic region but that is more than fine....
