Im just west of Calgary & I came across a frequency that kind of makes me scratch my head.

418.3125 according to Industry Canada is licensed to Cochrane, The MD & Redwood Meadows along with other various licenses out of range.
Now here is where it gets interesting; Cochrane Fire/EMS (Station 51/52) have 418.3125 listed as the input to their Voice Dispatch Channel & is repeated on 413.3125 with a CSQ tone (Voice dispatch).

I keep hearing 59 Station on there talking to dispatch with a CTCSS of 151.4, who was reporting to Chestermere address (which makes sense). But Chestermere uses different inputs frequency's & repeater tones that do not match up. I thought maybe I heard wrong and it was possibly Red Wood, but they are on close but no cigar frequency with a CTCSS of 151.4 (PL matches up, but a few steps off) and none the less, they are Station 50 not 59.

Maybe it is some skip I do not understand, but I picked it up on my Uniden & 72, 246 & 396T all showing the same tone. And If I lock any one of them onto the Cochrane Voice channel with no tone, the other Uniden locked onto 418.3125 (151.4) will be loud and clear with 59 Station & it also seems that it simulcasts' Spy Hill / Rotary Park Repeaters on the 151.4 PL.

It also has a by far stronger signal than the Cochrane Voice channel which I do also not understand, considering I am on the outskirts of west Calgary.

418.3125 with a PL of 151.4 In Calgary Area

Some people think I am nuts and I thought I was when I heard a voice on that frequency. Unfortunately, driving in Calgary doesn't afford one time to get a good look at frequencies. And I generally do not use Tones. But I did see this freq. pop up with a female voice about a week ago. I thought it might have been a CFD dispatch as I thought this freq. was an old CFD UHF freq. before they migrated to 800. I thought it might have been a frquency used for training purposes as there is sure a lot of CPS training over the past couple of weeks. Will have to put this freq. in a couple other scanners and give a listen. Probably should create another post, but this morning I heard Fire Dispatch saying they were having problems with their radios and to use back up on Bankers Hall.

It could be that Cochrane is experimenting with patching radio channels together. They're actually alerted directly on their primary Fire and EMS channels now, and 413/8.3125 is no longer in use. Knowing the guy who is now maintaining the Cochrane radio system, it wouldn't be a stretch for him to develop some kind of thing that is able to cross-patch virtually anything to a 400MHz channel, so that the Cochrane radio users just have to tune to that channel to talk to department xyz.

As for the thing about the trunk system yesterday (per robertmac's post), that was me saying that, and there was a systemwide fault affecting ALL users of the trunk system - Fire, EMS, Police, and most likely others like Enmax, Airport, etc., as well. There are a couple repeaters on one specific site which are experiencing trouble and are unavailable for use - so if the network gets busy enough, there are no voice channels left on that site for new conversations, so new voice calls get "bonked" - a busy signal comes across. The problem is being worked on and should be fixed early in the week.
