Is there a way to hook my headphones to a talkabout T5500 radio? I am going to a baseball game, and i want to be able to hear my family as they talk to me on the radio if they have to.

Thanks

Motorola Talkabout radios use an unusually long 3/32 plug. From experience, if you plug it in just right you can use headphones and a 1/8 to 3/32 adaptor. However, if you dont plug it in right, or it moves around (which will happen if you are holding/using it rather than sitting it on a desk) it will randomly transmit. So this is not really a good option for you. I used this option to record audio to my computer. The best bet is to buy a Motorola headset or earpeice. I've been contemplating splicing one of these into normal headphones and having another plug for my scanner. If anyone knows where to get extra-long 3/32 plugs, let me know.
