Yes, because the Controller is Digital to allow the integration into the Digital B-Troop System, altho the system [East of Springfield] is Analog.

Since the installation of the new Core or trunking controller last year some transmissions have a digital sound quality to them. I don't monitor DCR but hear this often on MSP A,C,D,E and H troops. The same is true of the Cambridge analog TRS which is running on the same Core/controller. In spite of this digital sound my receivers show the transmissions to be analog.
