Civil Air Patrol Searches For Missing Plane
Plane Took Off From Fremont County Airport

POSTED: 3:35 pm MDT April 9, 2005

DENVER -- The Civil Air Patrol searched Saturday for the second day for a private plane missing since Thursday near Canon City.

Two Pueblo residents were on the plane, which took off from the Fremont County airport. The pilot did not file a flight plan.

Col. Greg Cortum of the patrol said two planes and a ground team were searching for the plane today in advance of a major winter storm. A third plane will be launched soon.
