Using Talkgroup Monitor246 , Icecast, Simplecast, and serproxy. Running two feeds off the computer.

Having trouble getting the talkgroups to work, without talkgroup monitor getting the "timed out waiting for encoder".

I'm also getting an "error writing songhistory I/O error 103".

Help. Any ideas? It is sending out the text tags on the feed, but it's running the CPU cycles up to 100% and freezing the computer.

It is a dedicated computer solely for a pair of feeds.

Has AVG antivirus running, but if necessary I could disable it, although I want to avoid that if possible.

Yeah, I saw that he updated the regular program. I've used the 246 specific version successfully before and was hoping to use it again. Maybe I'll give that a shot.

Got it working. I think I copied/pasted settings from a previous installation, and something wasn't right. That's all worked out now.

Just as I was about to post another question, I fixed that problem.

The feeds are up and running beautifully.

Muy bueno. I thought I had the same problem, but not quite. My "old" version of TGM, I think, was getting bored and was timing out. The new version seems to be addressing this problem from multiple angles and has alleviated the 100% CPU problem...THANKS Gordon! And glad to see that RolnCode3's setup is working well too.

Yeah, I now have 2 Simplecast instances, a single Icecast, 2 talkgroup monitor and 1 serproxy instance, and it's running in the 20-30% CPU cycles area.

Awesome. Thanks for the update to the programs!

One Serproxy???

Hmm. I never thought about that. I have three TalkgroupMonitors running, so assumed I needed 3 Serproxys.

So in serproxy.cfg, under "#Comm ports used" you have two different ports open, and you have two ports opened under Ports Settings? Makes perfect sense. Think I'll try it.

What about directories? I guess it doesn't matter if Serproxy and Talkgroupmonitor are in different directories?

Cool. Gonna try all this now.

Sorry I didn't see your post until you were done.

Yeah, works great. I don't even have serproxy in the same folder as talkgroup monitor or anything...as long as all the settings are right, it seems to work fine.

Good to hear it helped you.
