Talkgroup Programming (BC296D)

Has anyone been able to successfully program talkgroups into the BC296D using the supplied software? I'm trying to program the active talkgroups for the new Ingham Co. EDACS system and all I can get transfer is the LCN and whatever other settings I need.

The supplied software is junk. I used it for both the bc296d/bc796d and neither correctly sets the bank as a trunked one. So all I get is conventional transmissions. I have to manually set each trunk bank. I don't know if the software works at all.

It's long been noted that the BC296/796 software that comes with the scanners is erratic at best - some said it worked fine for them, others had it crash...very annoying.

There's lots of better software out there - ARC250, ProScan, Scan Control, Radio Manager 2004 just to name a few. Check the wiki. 73s Mike

I had no problem programming my 296D with the supplied software.
