Quick question that maybe someone here can answer -- The data base shows this as a DMR system, but the Emission (11K0F3E) makes it look analog . Anyone know what they are really using these days. Maybe a Motorola Cap Plus or Cap Max ?? They are listed as FB and FB2.

TIA --

Not a SYSTEM but a series of DMR conventional frequencies (at least that's how they're listed in the DB). It is quite common to see users running DMR though the emissions on their license indicate narrowband analog voice as opposed to the usual 7K60FXE designator. Someone else may be able to speak on the legality of it, but it's common practice on many licenses I've looked at

Yes they run dmr conventional on vhf in which they also have marine channels programmed into. Hence the VHF instead of the widely used UHF in the area.

What's the coverage on those frequencies? I'm not far from downtown and never heard anything.
