Tampa-St. Petersburg Metro Area

The "Search FCC Licenses By Metro Area" on the database page RadioReference.com - Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference Database has always been a super handy tool for figuring out frequencies. I use the Tampa-St. Petersburg Metro Area all the time and it's great. But I have one wish-for. It doesn't seem to include Polk County which is really important. How feasible would it be for you guys to consider adding Polk County to the search results?

There's a lot of times I'm picking up a new frequency but get no search results because it's over in Polk County. Most folks in this area consider that a part of the Tampa Bay area.

Well, the corporate media considers them in the viewing area and reports stuff there all the time. But the main point is, I pick up signals all the time from Polk County, but you get no search results. The only way I know this is by searching again on the FCC website or going to the RR Polk County page. So I just thought it would be helpful to add that county.

The Tampa–St. Petersburg–Clearwater Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) includes Hillsborough, Pinellas, Hernando, and Pasco counties.

So by definition, Manatee County shouldn't even be included in the Tampa-St. Petersburg Metro Area in the RRDB, but it was anyway. Polk doesn't even enter the discussion until you start talking about the Tampa Bay media market, which has no relevance, frankly.

I'm glad Manatee is on there. Hernando is 2 counties away from Hillsborough, but Polk is one county over.
