Hey guys, Im not sure if I stumbled on a new tanker frequency tonight. I heard some activity on the regular tanker frequency (139.875) from the jersey mil air web page (awsome site) and im getting a full 5 bars of signal here in northern NJ. I heard an American Accented voice tell a Brittish Accented voice that they would also be operating on 134.0 and sure enough, the same voices plus others showed up from 2 to 5 bars on my discone fed scanner. Dont want anyone to mis out on the action tonite, or this freq, didnt have time to research it as of yet. (Im at work, inernet time is at a minimum, sorry.)

Freq 134.0 is part of the Boston Center ARTCC. It's for Danbury Sector 19 Low. Tankers move through the ATC system on VHF. The 139.875 freq is the interplane freq for KC-10A tankers from the 305th AMW at McGuire. Nothing unusual at all about those freqs you heard although I'm sure it was interesting to listen to them.

139.875

On a side note to add to the conversation, i've also heard Travis KC-10's using 139.875 between aircraft. They were using the cs of ORCA.

Don't be surprised if this freq goes silent before too long.

Hm ok thanks for the follow up.

Ive also found that Picatinny Arsenal has switched to Apco Digital on their FD frequency 165.5125 just now. Im also picking up some very weak base security activity on 165.0875 and even an open mic on friday (hilarious as always) but its soo weak it cant possibly be piccatinny. Lots of license plates being read back and forth, radio checks, nothing too wild, dispatch can be heard only, so its either an input or unrepeated. I should probably start a new thread, this is getting way off topic lol.
