I hope they called in MSP and Motor Carrier for this. Which I highly doubt they did since Hackel is a dip and he will do anything to take thigns from the troopers

Yes, MSP responded as well. Macomb County Sheriff responded at the request of Chesterfield Township.

A "dip", as you called Sheriff Hackel, would do nothing when a tanker rolls over in the county he's been elected to protect.

He is a dip. He sits in his cushy office, call the troopers lazy, refuses to give them radio calls, rips them in the media, at meetings and in person. I used to have respect for him but after his little radio cherrade I put him on my crap list of people that don't deserve respect.

He knows that MSP patrols the freeways, and that 94 is the states road not his. His traffic cars are responsible for secondary roads not freeways. They are a secondary funded unit. Patroling and stopping and spending time on other then secondairy roads will cause them to lose their grants for the unit.

Thats why I call him a dip. I have other reasons. I know his old man and I know his dad wouldn't be happy the way he is running the department. Hackel, Minsey, and Bouchard are on the list of people trying to end MSP and their road patrol. They even drafted paperwork to try it but they can't because of the State Constitution.

Now back to the topic at hand.

Well, You better add the Sheriff's of Berrien County, Van Buren County and Kalamazoo County to that list, I see them doing traffice stops and running radar on I-94 all the time!

They don't have Secondary Road car like Macomb does.

Also their Sheriff's have a good working relationship with the troops unlike macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Kent county does. LEast from a command stance that is.

I am wasn't these counties were no longer particpiants in this program, I knew they were in the 1970's and the 1980's. I did some googling and found out that they still were in the program in 2004. I can't find anything on the inter-net after 2004 for this program.

Below is the link that leads me to beleive that they were still in the program in 2004.

If I am wrong, I am sorry.

Secondary road Patol is a specialy designated group of deputies that work traffic on non major roadways like side roads. They do not include main arterys, interstates, freeways, state and or county roads or city streets.

They are only to work said roads and not to work any traffic unless its a priority. This was started by the state back in 1994 to curb speed related crashes and DUI on secondary roads...

I think we are talking about the same things except Berrien, Van Buren and Kalamazoo counties do have then and they also patrol I-94 0ver here, I guess the only difference is they don't patrol I-94 in your area.
