I'm running a scanner with discriminator tap and a RTL-SDR with unitrunker.

The scanner monitors the control channel -- works perfectly. A data is displayed properly in Unitrunker.

Unitrunker control of SDR# also works. SDR# changes to whatever frequency I set in the "Parked" field in Unitrunker. However, voice following won't ever kick in. I've enabled "Listen" in the main window. No matter what I do, the Control receiver (controlling SDR#) never displays anything in the Listen fields except Parked. I've checked the P25 box and others on the control receiver.

I feel like I am missing something simple. Unitrunker crashes frequently, which may be when it tries to change frequency. Thats just a hunch. I am trying to monitor the VIPER system in NC.

kscott: I tried that... it never was checked to begin with.
I'm using the latest versions of SDR# and Unitrunker as of this posting. Also the latest untrunker plugin.

OK, next check is where is your remote.dll file stored? Goto unitrunker and select the file button and verify the directory. This directory is where remote.dll needs to be. On my Win 8 PC this is user/appdata /roaming/unitrunker. Do not have a duplicate in the unitrunker program install folder. Then select this same directory under SDR#. Ignore the warning if it pops up.

I fairly certain this matches behavior described by Zefie recently in this forum which Unitrunker simply goes "poof" with no crash dump. In my case, it sits parked until it tries to follow a call, then unitrunker disappears. It could be the SDR# Trunker plugin...

I just uninstalled the SDR# Trunker plugin and tried the new SDR# Serial Port Control plugin. It exhibits the same behavior as with the Trunker plugin, when it follows a voice call Unitrunker vanishes.

BTW, the Serial Port Control plugin works great with Unitrunker for frequency control.
