It varies from store to store. Here in Southern CA they use some of the common UHF business frequencies.

In my experience they've always used:
151.625 [179.9] Operations
151.955 [179.9] Stock Room or Talk-Around
151.925 [d 506] Loss Prevention

I've heard reports that some of the newer stores are using UHF radios though.

In areas where they are not in close proximity to Wal Mart and other big UHF users, they use UHF business stuff, and in areas where they would be in close proximity to other big time UHF users, they use VHF.
