Does anyone know what frequency Bay taxi out of swanville uses? I know someone who worked there many years ago and says that they were able to talk clear all the way out as far as Augusta and Bangor and that the tower they used was MT Waldo. They run UHF as far as I know and the only thing they could possibly use off of MT Waldo is Atlantic communications LTR system. Any ideas?

Possibly this system --> Atlantic Communications Trunking System, Various, Maine - Scanner Frequencies <-- which details what you stated. Since there's no talkgroups listed it's only a guess, but since it's a multi-county, multi-site system, it could have the large coverage area. You might try to program in the two Mount Waldo frequencies to see what you can pick up. Good luck!

Thats what I am figuring on at this point. What struck me as odd was that the radios they had in their cars were identified as being realistic radios and were using a system on Waldo mountain. I plugged the frequencies in and didnt get much in the way of activity (probably because of my location in Thorndike) but I did catch a distant signal that sounded digitized possibly scrambling of some sort. The next time I head out in that area I am plugging those frequencies into the scanner and listening. Thank you for the input.
