Taylorsville

With the addition of the Taylorsville Police Dept in April of 2005, does anyone know what the talkgroup will be or how we can find out that information?

My guess is that they will show up with TG IDs between 20000 and 27000. There is no way to tell until they start programming radios. Often you will hear them doing tests, key up without talking etc. A large group of new radio IDs will show up on trunker also which is a good indicator that a new agency is starting up on the system.

Taylorsville Dispatch should be 22912. Car to Car, Tac, etc. will need to be figured out after they come on the air.

It was programmed in a SL County radio when they moved to UCAN.

Does anyone have any information on when Taylosville will start there Police Force?

Taylorsville City Police officially come online the morning of April 1, 2005. I believe they will come online at 07:00 am but I am not sure. Their officers were officially sworn in as Police officers to Taylorville City on Wednsday March 30, 2005 @ 19:30 hrs.

I talked to a Salt Lake County Sheriff Deputy this morning who said that they will be dispatching on the County Sheriff talkgroup as the "Tango" units. All the Sheriffs will change their call signs on the same morning that Taylorsville comes online.

Taylorsville PD is officialy online and confirmed using the SL County talkgroups. I have heard them on SL Co SO Oquirrh Division (West) for dispatch (Tango Units), SL Co SO Request 1, SL Co SO Tac-1 and SL Co SO Car-2-Car so far that I have heard.

Hello is in response to taylorsville police.
I spoke with the chief on 4/1. He advised me that all dispatching for taylorsville would remain with the sl county sheriff. So you just need to monitor sheriff oquirrh district. I know that vecc had a spot set up for them but I guess they had a choice and they chose slco so. I have heard car to car activity on their on talkgroup though 21728.

Talkgroup 21728 is South Jordan PD car to car, not Taylorsville.
