I decided to update the TD Place trunked DMR Cap+ radio system. However I could use some help.

So far on RR, TD Place is listed under Sports Attractions under only one freq 460.8125MHz (465.8125MHz is paired with it) . However doing a TAFL lookup for "Lansdowne Stadium Limited Partnership" that has that freq. I got two more pairs of input/ output 462.1375/467.1375Mhz and 463.6625/468.6625MHz .

So. with a football game being this afternoon. I put in the 3 freq 460.8125Mhz as channel 1/2 , 462.1375 as channel 3/4 and 463.6625 as channel 5/6 and was able to confirm that I got channel 3/4 and 5/6 are correct based on DSD+ output.

I can not figure out channel 1/2 though , it showed that there was calls on it in DSD+ when sitting on another channel , but when going to the programmed channel there was nothing. My guess it's that I got it wrong.

I let it sit there for 1 hour (on 460.8125) and nothing. I even tried scanning through the +5Mhz freq that would typically be for input of older non DMR systems and saw nothing. Maybe my RX location is just dead to that.

I am hoping some one is closer to the stadium than I am and can confirm that channel 1/2 is in fact 460.8125 MHz . I will go through my saved per call files and try to ID some talk-groups. I am confident that from listening to some that are TD Place .

When you have it programmed in your radio, do an analyzation of the system when it's busy and do an LCN search. If all frequencies/channels are active at the same time, it should find them all at that point. Save it to the system, and download it to whatever program you use to program it and take it from there. When programmed conventional or in your DSD does it show the system ID info etc for that frequency? Is it actually supposed to be part of the system. Just because it's under the same licence, sometimes it might not actually be part of it. Did you program the CC wrong?

I wouldn't worry about the input frequencies.

I do not have any radios currently with a DMR add on , I was just going off TAFL and the current RR data and using DSD+ . I did recently get a used BCD 436HP so maybe finally buy the DMR add on for it and read up how to use the LCN search.

I am not sure that CAP+ systems have a system ID like other DMR systems though, in my limited experience of programming CAP+ for DMR. I always had to make up my own for DSD+. however that could just be a DSD+ thing

If you don't mind listening to the mundane/business/etc type of radio systems that seem to be all over the DMR/MOTRBO, then yes, in a city like Ottawa, having that capability on a 436 is a benefit. I'd imagine there's plenty to listen too, in Ottawa.
If you're updating regularly active systems etc and are into that, then the database here could likely use a few updates. ;)

NXDN would be a close second option to also have.

What's the Colour Codes and LCN of the other frequencies? I know you have them as 3/4 and 5/6, so I'm assuming we're going for a LCN of 1, 3 and 5 or 2, 4, and 6 as far as programming is concerned.

If there is interest I can post the .zip of the recordings that is 28.8 MB ( apparently too large to upload here )
