I live qith-in Ocala city limits, near the Ocala christian academy.... I pick them up just fine, keep in mind that they do alot of CAD dispatch and they are using Visionet services on thier computers/radios. Silent dispatching seems to be a big thing now a days, and you might start hearing less and less on thier radio system.
I have anylized thier trunk system using trunk anylizing software, and can confirm that the freq's have not changed, nor are they using a different control channel.
knurt asked this same question about a month ago, and here was my reply then.
Marion County as well as Ocala have begun using CAD ( computer aided dispatch ) and it's more noticeable lately. As morning passes, and the day gets busy, you will see them use the radio more often. To my knoweledge, the MC trunk system has not changed... and the new Ocala trunk system is correct, as listed in the database.
I have just begun a system decode check up for Marion's trunk system using Pro96com (a trunk system decoding software) and the following 9 (nine) frequencies are decoded, and make up the county radio system... check them against what you have in your scanner.
Marion System
851.5875 V
851.7500 V
851.8750 V
852.1250 V
852.2500 V
852.3750 V
852.7500 A
852.8750 A
853.2500 CONTROL CHANNEL
The Ocala trunk system I decoded today has a total of 10 (ten) frequencies, and make up the City radio system. Here is the current Ocala configuration, check them against what you have in your scanner.
Ocala System
854.9625 IV (transmits system ID information)
856.2125 V
857.2125 V
857.7125 V
857.9375 V
858.2125 A
858.9375 V
859.2125 A
859.5375 AV
859.9375 CONTROL CHANNEL
