And you can go here https://www.radioreference.com/apps/ham/ to enter your zip code or address to find any hams in your immediate area who could help or direct you to the people that can.
You could also find out when the next Club meeting is held and just show up, introduce yourself and ask for guidance.
Now, if you have no Amateur License, you can go to Home and type in Technician License. You will be directed to books and audio CD's that will help you study for your license. Also, there are a myriad of websites that cater to the aspiring ham. Search for amateur technician license in a search engine (I use Duck Duck Go) like this: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=amateur+technician+license&t=hb&atb=v56-6&ia=web
There may be some members here on Radio Reference that are close by your location and could get you started. 73 and Good Luck!

As others above posted; all good.
The net has many "free" test sites that help you along. There's one that explains in good detail the question being asked.
I don't know where you are in the "Ohio Valley", so if you could just give a general location, some one from that area may be able to help you. You don't have to give your address, just a few miles close to you.
