Technical difficulties on the Baltimore city poli. system...

Yes as of 8:21 pm tonight(6-14-05) I heard that the lombard street (I guess repeater) was going wacky, cuting in and out and off and on. And I thought my scanner was malfunctioning untill a 9 channel simulcast came across saying that" the lombard street location is having technical difficulties and it is being worked on at this moment"...


Who fixes thses problems??? What could be the problem ...

im having problems with B City PD also... my scanner will stop on the TG's, but i dont get any audio...

That's got to be another problem Admin...no problem here at all with Balt City - at least not now. Early in the evening about the time of the original post everything was real weak.

i just turned on my 96 (the radio i was using last night when i was having BCPD problems). seems like im picking up the city nicely as well... dont know what the problem was last night... oh well

I think they are still having issues. It seems that my scanner breaks up for no reason, when I'm only 2 miles from a tower and usually get great reception. It also seems that the problem is isolated to 867.437, but I'm not positive. I'll pay closer attention and let ya'll know if I notice anything.

Nah Mo...You are correct, there is still issues going on with this, I hear it also ... I have noticed ... Who troubleshoots this type of problem ??

I guess either the radioshop, or they bring in Motorola techs if it's a major issue.

Just as an update, confirming that the problem is isolated ot 867.437. Whenever that freq comes up on a TG, the scanner can hardly decode the digital transmission. It's all garbled.

Well they have to know that there is a problem still...
Ya think they might not fix it at all, doesnt seem as if the police radios are having much trouble, at least I dont hear them bring it up on the air as much!

Mo, I locked in that particular freq & no issues from my area in the last 1/2 hour. Still getting poor reception in your neck of the woods?

Oh yeah, still having lots of trouble whenever that freq comes up.
