Most groups doing virtual online testing have minimal restrictions on where you are so long as you meet the FCC regulations on who can be issued a license. The group here has done tests in nearly every state in the country. Another advantage of our group is that since they're with the W5YI VEC and approved to do electronic filing with the VEC, most successful applicants get their license within one business day of them passing their test.

I just passed my Technician test so take this as unproven information.
If you are still studying, I strongly recommend you use one of the online test pool websites like arrl.org or hamstudy.org. I'd also buy the study guide "The ARRL Ham Radio License Manual 3rd Edition." I also found help in YouTube channels like Ham Radio Crash Course, Kevin Loughin, Jim W6LG.
