A recent purchase, this little FM mode receiver is tunable over the range of 34 – 51MHz and has provision for 5 crystals in the range of 151 – 178MHz. The components suggest the unit was manufactured in the 1960’s.
From the little info I have been able to find, TECHNOS International were involved in the manufacture of surveillance equipment and may have been taken over by AID (Audio Intelligence Devices Inc.) who were also involved in this field.
While it’s fully working and I have worked out the crystal frequency conversion info, I haven’t been able to find any data or schematic on the web, which would be handy. The fact that the manufacturer comes up as a contractor to one of the U.S. 3 letter agencies might have something to do with that
