• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hi all,
I am in need of some assistance...I own some Tekk NT-10 radios...They all talk to each other and work really well for what I need them for...Ok, enough with the plug lol, I need the users manual for them...I bought them off of ebay a few years ago but, ahh ebay sellers, there was no manual...they all have 8 or 16 channels depending on the unit. They are all programmed on #1 to a red dot MURS frequency, but id like to get a few more frequencies into them. I know you have to have a programming software and cable for that, but id also like to try out the "scrambling" abilities that this radio has or supposedly has...according to the information out there, I have a feeling that locating a manual through traditional methods i.e. google have failed, so now I rely on the comm. gurus out there to maybe have one they might be willing to E-mail me or something or know where I might find one. Im reluctant to do anything with them in terms of programming on them until I have more information on them. Thanks in advance all!!!

Wow...took a while to get a response haha! I never did get that manual, but I do still have the radios, and they still work pretty well (batteries are getting olddd!) yeah, I'd love to get at least another channel on them and well at this point batteries are becoming necessary...Thanks for the response, and if you happen to know where I could get either of the above I would appreciate it..I did figure out the scramble feature though...just gotta hold the PTT and MON when you are turning them on and it will activate the "scramble" which about sounds like someone with a mouthful of marbles talking at ya! Thanks for any info...have a good one
