In the coming months I decided to put a Telescopic Mast Antenna with the Yaesu G 1000 DXC on top in the 100cm cage. Is there any method or mechanical method that can be used as a breaking system to lock the Pipe/antenna to avoid moving form side to side in the event of a huge storm or high winds? I happen to live on a hill and I am familiar with strong Winds from all wind Directions. I would love to hear your ideas or techniques that you might know in order to prevent damage to my Rotator and also my Antenna. Thanks a lot.
