Tell me about my Satellit 700

I'm not really a radio guy but I recently came into possession of a Grundig Satellit 700 receiver and I would like to learn a little about it before I try and sell it. I hope this thread is okay and in the appropriate location.

I've googled it and found some good info but nothing for dummies. Talking to a guy that isn't into radios, what can my receiver do?

The next thing is what is it worth. It works, it had batteries in it which were not corroded. I have the European power supply and I found a power supply that matches the voltage and polarity that works with it. The antenna is in good shape and I believe one of the lights is out in the screen. Everything else looks like it's in very good condition.

I see eBay has sold a lot of them for various price ranges. What do I need to know in order to maximize my profit?

They are excellent shortwave radios. If listening to shortwave or hams is not your thing, the convert to cash pretty easily too depending on the condition.

I tell you I am jealous! Nice big radio with big sound. Sometimes you just need something that sounds better and has nice big buttons to push than a tiny handheld.
