What freqs is TEMA using now? Are they still using their low
band, 45.36 and 45.44 in addition to the high band?

I don't have my scanner in front of me, but if you are in the middle tennessee area try 158.835 (I think). Especially around 5-6:30pm, you can hear units going 10-7 for the night. If 158.835 is incorrect search the 158-159 range during that time. I haven't monitored that frequency during any crisis yet so I don't know if it is an ops frequency.

TEMA, MEMA, OKEMA, AREMA, and LAEMA also have a linked Sat Radio Net, which is also shared by MDF&W. TEMA still primarily uses thier Hi and Lo Band stuff, but have the capability to interop during large scale, and magor emergencies with everyone on the SatNet.

MEMA for those in TN near the MS state line, only uses thier Lo Band to alert certian local/county CD/EMA's. MEMA Primarily uses only thier SatNet.

The only voice traffic I have heard on 45.360 is when severe weather is approaching and it's basically a recording. I can't elaborate on the rest because i really haven't heard anything.

TEMA VHF

Some TEMA VHF frequencies have been added to the DB, not all are in use everywhere, but at least one should be available most everywhere in the state.

I've never done a tone search for 45.360 Pretty much it's just a recording from the state and local weather office about pending violent weather. I've never heard any live voice traffic.

Its always live traffic here in Sevier county the state EOC will tone out the weather alerts and the PL in this Area is 162.2. On 1/12/2005 the state EOC came up on 45.360 to call car 310 after not rasing him on his cell.

TEMA mainly operates on VHF. they have multiple repeater sites located throughout the state that are all on the same freq pair. All the person has to do is put in a DTMF code for the nearest repeater and they can call straight in to the State EOC in Alcoha (sp). I think the freq is 155.370.
