Frederick What? Fire, County Police, State Police?... would be nice if you were a lil more specific. I imagine they probably use the expanded APCO list, I know that is what the state police teach in their academy, as do most academy's around the state.
Fire: Who knows; but most are getting away from 10-codes all together.
And if you look at a list such as expanded apco, and they don't make any sense as to what the officer is saying... sounds like a good project. It's fun to listen and figure out stuff like that.

I meant police. Thank you :D I knew the list I was using wasn't right when they said 10-34 and the list said that meant "Riot"

well 10-34 is a riot on the expanded APCO list that is used by the state police. Some agencies have modified it to fit their specific needs.

10-Code

Some agencies use this one as a request for backup, also. Just depends on who you are listening to.
