Ten Tec 1254 problem

Has anyone heard that the Ten Tec 1254 HF receiver is inherently microphonic (unstable frequency when subject to vibration)? Thinking of putting one in the work truck, but that plan won't fly if the thing will warble with a bit of wobble.

I've not had or heard of any issues. In case you haven't seen this:

That upgrade should almost be mandatory for the 1254... very much improved features.
The microphony issue was traced by its user to be an unsoldered shield on the VCO - only one 'leg' had been soldered during construction in case it had to be removed for fault finding during testing. So make sure you solder all your shield connection points!
