Same stuff, different day. Terps fans once again rioting after the Maryland-Duke basketball game. Most of the action is on Prince George's police channel 8. PG and MSP are trying to control the area. PG announce one of their positions was overrun. Air One is up and taking note of the scene.

I have the web site monitoring the freq for now.

[Edit] They are asking for a Fire Department pumper to report to Knox and Route 1 intersection - guess they are going to douse the crowd of mooks and try to cool off the situation.

Reporting people have climbed on the roof of Nation's Bank.
The police are filming this. Hmmm...it's called evidence.

I think PG police are getting used to this. They are cool and collected tonight - unlike earlier riots where they were at times flustered and angry.

I guess I should report the score since we're doing this...
Maryland 99-92 over Duke in overtime.

Wish I had a way to webcast multiple radios so we could get MSP and Fire into the action.

[Edit] The Morse callsign being broadcast on the webcast channel is KUX236 for you coders that couldn't keep up with it.

They reported a wagon load of arrestees being taken to District 1 (Hyattsville) and are asking for another wagon from District 3 (Palmer Park). Gonna be a fun night in the old pokey tonight.

Yes, they've mentioned "Park Police" several times.

Note: For those listening to the broadcast that are not from this area, the mentions of "Wawa" are not babytalk...it is a chain of convenience stores in these parts.

Interesting listening....glad your website is carrying this, TinEar - reception of PG is poor via my scanners tonight. Sounds like PGCoPD could really use some of the wide-area pepper spray dispersion devices that the feds have...nice way to rapidly put down violence. Latest reports are of crowds of 1 to 2000 being very disruptive.

Reception overall is poor tonight. I noticed that during the general scan earlier in the evening. It's about as bad as it has ever been for me. I'm still getting Chester County PA and on down to northern VA but not nearly as well as normal.

Total listeners at any one time since it started has been 16. It keeps fluctuating. Either people are just dropping off and on or the site is dropping off for them.

I'm getting PG on the scanner now. Coming in well enough to listen but not great. Gonna log outta here and listen in comfort. (Read that bed). Thanks again for the heads up on this and the link.

No, Park Police helicopter uses "Eagle." I'm not sure exactly who Air One belongs to but he's heard on PG, AA and Howard Counties along with State Police. He's also the one with the Wulfsberg radio that can go anywhere.

Yes, 494.7375 is correct. The web site probably has a few second delay so it will not match exactly with what you're hearing directly on your scanner. It's the process of going from my scanner to the ARC250PRO virtual display and then the Windows Media Encoder and then to the web site...hence, delay.

I wonder if that's because of the bandwidth load because of so many people logged on to the web site for this. I've checked it before with only one or two signed on and the delay was about five seconds. That's valuable info to have. Thank you Chuck.
