Hello Group:

I'm currently testing a live feed using a Uniden BC898T with ARC898
software. The feed is hosted on streamwebtown.com. I'm using
the "screen capture" option in Windows Media Encoder, so what you
see is a 20-30 second delay of the LCD on my BC898T. The ARC
software allows for alpha tagging to appear, even though the BC898T
does not have that functionality.

If anyone wants to check it out, all you need to do is surf to the
url below and your Windows Media Player should come up and start to
play the audio & video for my feed. If you are currently using a
different media player, it may not come up.

The feed currently has Manchester & Goffstown EDACS police & fire
with talk group ID's. Let me know how the sound & video comes
across if you give it a try. Thanks!

Display looks great. Audio might be just a tad low (could be me).

You've got good signal strength on both systems... What antenna are you using/where are you located?

Great feed. Do you plan to keep it online full-time?

Thanks for the feedback! I'm using a Scantenna up about 35'. As many in Southern NH know, the Manchester system in particular does not have a great signal. I could barely receive them before I put the Scantenna up. Now, it's pretty decent at most times. I typically don't listen to Goffstown, but wanted that to be part of the test for comparison purposes.

Not sure about whether I will put this feed up on a regular basis. I had just gotten the BC898T and wanted to give it a try. That was the main reason for the feed test.

Appreciate the feedback - Mike

Sounds great from down here in VA where I'm doing a temporary work assignment. Now if it just had our hometown (Londonderry) in there, it would be perfect. :)

All:

The feed will be up throughout the day today and up to about 11:00pm tonight before I shut it down for the night.

Thanks to all so far for the feedback. I played around with the sound volume/properties to try and get it a bit louder.

Thanks - Mike
