I am new to programing my scanner for trunking,does the State Police use a special group for disasters like the Teterboro incident

YES:IT STARTED OUT ON 4 COM 33760 (TOTOWA) EVERYBODY AT THE SCENE WAS TO GO TO 8 COMMAND POST (33888) THERE WAS MANY DIFFERENT TALK GROUPS USED:IE;THE GOVENOR IN HIS HELI.,NJ STATE FIRE SERVICE,ETC.YOU COULD HAVE FILLED AN ENTIRE BANK JUST FOR THIS INCIDENT

That's the biggest problem. Too many damned rubberneckers get involved (including elected officials) and emergency first responders either can't communicate nor can they get to where they are needed. The Teterboro situation was another good example of overload.
