Texarkana fire and police

Had to get my scanner worked on. I know texarkana fd and pd are not on AWIN anymore, which system do they use now please?

They use both AWIN and the GATRRS (AKA TXWARN). At least that is the last I was told, and we have not received any submissions saying they officially quit AWIN. Would be hard to interop with MCSO, MCF/R, ASP, ADEM etc if they did not roll on AWIN.

Ok thanks, last time I was in texarkana, I didn't hear any AWIN traffic

They are indeed on AWIN and GATTRS. I’m hearing them this very second on AWIN.

Ok thanks, it was 4 months ago when I was in texarkana and I spent 3 hours there. And didn't hear AWIN at all. Well fd and pd ..I will ad AWIN back

GATTRS and TxWARN are 2 completely differently systems.

Here proof they use AWIN. I believe they simulcast to GATRRS. Not 100% sure though but from what I hear the 2 systems have the same audio I can hear them start on AWIN then scan and hear the same conversation on GATRRS.
