I am in the Palestine area and wondering why I am not hearing anything out of the Texas DPS on the
Texas Wide Area Radio Network (TxWARN) Project 25 . I have downloaded the frequency files from RR into both my 996XT and HomePatrol 1 and still dont hear anything. I havent even heard them using the local SO channel. I would think that I would hear something out of the Tyler or Waco base if nothing else as I am 60 miles from Tyler and 100 from Waco. Any ideas....
Thanks Rip

You need to download the VHF Texas DPS P25 base/moblie channels for Tyler and Waco. I hear Tyler KKI414 and Waco P25 base channel here at my home 3 miles north of Princeton, TX in Collin County on band openings. I do not heard the TXWARN system. I have not been in Kaufman county or south/east Texas traveling. I listen to VHF Texas DPS P25 base/moblie channels for Dallas/Garland, Sherman on my GRE PSR-800 scanner.
Hope this helps you,

DPS Palastine can be heard on the Fairfield repeater (Waco Dispatch) and on Anderson County S.O.
