Machria, I just had this exact same problem yesterday using the latest version of the EZ Scan Whistler TRX-1 software, 3.4. Running on Windows 10.
The software seems to get in a state after awhile where certain buttons won't work. Help won't come up, Text File import won't work.
The solution, for me, was to shut down the software and restart it. I may have even rebooted just for good measure. Then everything worked again, help included. For awhile anyway.
Another bug I'm seeing is in "Talkgroup Details" for Trunked Radio Systems, I'll see my delay creeping up by .1 increments every time I look again at the data after changing it to 8.0. It appears to possibly only be cosmetic, as if it's sending the correct data to the scanner but only the software display shows it incrementing.
I just got my TRX-1 yesterday and I'm up and running great but the software is definitely buggy, Usable in that I've been able to do everything I've needed to do but be watchful, make sure it's done what you told it to before moving on to the next task.
