A submitter reported that for the past several months TG 43136 has been used for Provo TAC 6 rather than for Utah County Operations 6 (Orem) as currently listed. He also said that TG 45248, which is currently listed as Provo TAC 6, is no longer being used. He wondered if others could confirm this before changing the DB.

The UtCo Ops channels are now called "Tac" channels. Ops/Tac 1 thru 5 are used by county dispatch with Ops/Tac 2 being used as the UtCo Fire primary response channel (such as VECC and DaCo do when a fire/medical call goes out). But currently, due to the Spring Lake fire (using a current situation as an example), Tac 2 is being used exclusively for this and the other fire traffic from County is responding on Ops/Tac 3. I have heard county use Tac 3 for SWAT traffic before (the clown who held off the Sheriffs here in Eagle Mountain last winter) so other than Tac 2 the other Tac channels could be used for PD/Fire/SAR/whatever.
Provo is using OPs/Tac 6 thru 10 for I have heard Provo traffic on all of them. Tac 6 is the primary fire response channel with Tac 7 as a secondary. Tac 7 has been used as training this week but have heard standoffs and the like on 7 as well as Tac 8 and Tac 9. I have heard Provo traffic on Tac 10 but very rarely. Tac 8 and 9 have been used for BYU game traffic and Provo and BYU (plus UVU) officers have used these for communications for those plus they have been active during the Stadium Of Fire.

The Ops TGs are the same as before they are now called "Tac" and they are now used as above.
