I am having trouble getting rid of a dual shift in one memory channel.
The repeater frequency displayed has both minus and positive. It is actually
supposed to be negative (minus), but came out with both after rt-systems programing, the only channel affected. No shift takes place!

Anyone know of a kenwood th-d74a yahoo group??

In Kenwoods, displaying both plus and minus indicates that a non-standard offset, or odd split, has been programmed. See page 8-2 in the manual.

If this is something that the RT Systems software is doing and you don't believe it's a user error, you might want to report it to RT Systems.

No shift takes place!
Which kinda sounds like an odd split got programmed with both input and output frequencies the same. Check the entry for that memory channel in the RT Systems program to make sure you didn't enter the same frequency for both input and output.

I CHECKED THE PROGRAMMING SCREEN AND IT SHOWS A STANDARD (MINUS) 600HZ SHIFT.
i AM GOING TO CONTACT RT-SYSTEMS TO REPORT THE INCIDENT. THANKS VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP. I APPRECIATE IT.
